What Prolozone Is

How Prolozone Injections Work

Prolozone is a regenerative injection therapy for joint and soft-tissue pain. A nutrient solution and medical ozone gas are placed where it hurts: inside a joint, at a ligament attachment or along a tendon.

Ozone is a reactive form of oxygen. In injured tissue it is used to improve oxygen use and circulation and to quiet the inflammation that keeps pain going, so your body's own repair process can finish the job.

We offer prolozone beside PRP as part of our regenerative injection therapy, so the injection you receive is chosen for your joint.

What Goes Into Each Injection

  • A local anesthetic to keep the injection comfortable
  • Vitamins and minerals that support tissue repair
  • Medical ozone-oxygen gas, the ingredient that gives prolozone its name

Formulas differ between clinics. We explain ours at your consultation.

Questions

Prolozone Questions, Answered

Cost of Prolozone Therapy

Your plan and its price come together at your consultation. Mention every area you want treated so the quote covers all of it.

Book a Consultation
How Much Does Prolozone Cost in Scottsdale, AZ?

It depends on how many areas are treated and how many sessions your plan includes, so we quote after your consultation rather than list one price. You will know the full cost before treatment starts.

Does Prolozone Actually Work?

Results vary by person and joint. It tends to suit chronic pain where tissue is worn or slow to heal, which we screen for at your exam, and we track your response across the series.

How Long Does a Prolozone Shot Last?

Prolozone is not a numbing shot that wears off on a schedule. Because the aim is tissue repair, progress is judged over the full series, and how long it holds depends on the joint and the strain it is under.

How Many Prolozone Sessions Will I Need?

It varies with the joint, how long it has hurt and how it responds. Many plans begin as a short series spaced a week or more apart.

Is Prolozone the Same as Ozone Therapy?

Prolozone is one form of ozone therapy: ozone injected into a painful joint or soft tissue with a nutrient solution. Other forms of ozone therapy are given differently and for different goals.

Can I Combine Prolozone With PRP or IV Therapy?

Yes, when it fits your plan. We offer PRP and IV therapy in the same office, and Dr. Yosef may pair an injection series with nutrient repletion or an anti-inflammatory IV formula.
